Gypsy Rose Blanchard is taking her pregnancy day by day.
The Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up star gave insight into how she's been navigating her second trimester while expecting her first baby with boyfriend Ken Urker and the symptoms she's been experiencing.
"I have started to feel her kick a lot," Gypsy explained in her Sept. 18 YouTube video. "I have started to feel those movements and I've started to notice her sleeping patterns. I have noticed that she kicks a lot at night, anywhere from 9 at night to 11 at night, and she's calmer during the daytime."
And her diet also played a role in her baby girl's movements.
"I have noticed that she's more active whenever I eat sweets," she recalled. "I ate a KitKat bar and she was up for two hours kicking me like every five seconds, so I'm getting used to that. So far, that part of it has been very magical."
Although there are times Gypsy—who was released from prison in December after serving time for her role in her mother Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard's murder—wishes the kicking would slow down, she admitted, "Whenever she stops moving and she's asleep, that's when I start to miss her move."
However, the 33-year-old, who announced her pregnancy in July, also noticed some initially worrisome symptoms.
"About two weeks ago, my thighs started to fall asleep," she said. "It happens when I'm standing for a long period of time, or I'm laying on one side or sleeping on one side for too long."
She learned it wasn't uncommon for pregnant people to experience the sensation, which should go away after giving birth.
"I just take breaks throughout the day, sit down if I'm walking through the mall," Gypsy noted. "I just have to sit down for a little bit because my thighs start to burn."
As for cravings? Candy, icing and applesauce.
"I did not eat applesauce like I'm eating it now," she admitted. "Before I got pregnant, I never even touched applesauce. Now, I keep two packs in the fridge at all times and I like it a certain way too. I like mine cold, like I mean ice cold."
But that doesn't mean she's only in the mood for those foods.
"There are times that I do crave apples and oranges and fruit and there are other times that I crave sweets," she added. "So, it has both."
And the symptoms have been manageable.
"Overall, I think that I have a very good pregnancy," Gypsy concluded. "I like to say that I'm blessed that things are going so well."
